After Murcia, Venice, Italy, Berlin and Lisbon, the Diplomatic Suitcase is now travelling to Amsterdam! The Diplomatic Suitcase is the multimedia, portable exhibition of the Confluence of European Water Bodies. From 19 September – 10 October 2025 the exhibition will be presented and activated at Mediamatic art center in Amsterdam.
Cultural water diplomacy
The Diplomatic Suitcase tells the many stories and problems of water while demonstrating how cultural diplomacy can give rise to an emerging alliance of water guardians advocating the urgency of ecological and social transformation. Through activations, all Confluence members gathered sculptures, photos, videos, and soundscapes, negotiating water representation and guardianship. Through interactivity, it expresses the spirit and stories of their water. Read more here
