Fang is a Responsible Innovation Lead and Strategic Designer at Dark Matter Labs, and co-leads the Radicle Civics portfolio, primarily focused on societal, environmental, and economic structural transitions and new civics. Dark Matter Labs is a not-for-profit working for a future of mutual thriving by focusing on the ‘dark matter’ (monetary, economic, governance, regulatory and policy systems) as a site of design. Radicle Civics is an initiative within Dark Matter Labs, fundamentally reimagining civics, starting from our most elemental mutual interdependencies from which forms of social organisation emerge. Fang holds an MA in Service Design from the Royal College of Art. They’ve worked as a designer for both the Taiwanese and British governments, and for architecture/design firms. Their work primarily focuses on digital democracy, public service innovation, citizen engagement, and collaborative policy/rule-making.
