Jetske Verhoeven is a Dutch visual artist and writer whose work deepens the connection between humans and the natural world. Through site-specific events, performances, and participatory projects, she explores a shift in awareness—from seeing ourselves as separate from nature to recognising ourselves as integral co-players within it. She is the founder of the organisation Zachtivist and forms the performance duo STADSKNIETJES with musician Shannon Westcott. Verhoeven holds an MFA from the Sandberg Institute and a BFA from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. She has participated with site-spefific works in art-events across the Netherlands and internationally, including Belgium, Berlin, Brasil, Los Angeles, and South Korea.
